HOMEWORK AND GRADING As stated in the Elementary Grading Handbook, late work for both classwork and homework, will result in a 10 point deduction for each school day that the assignment is late. After the third day, the grade will be a zero. Students should record all homework assignments in their planners each class period. The planner should be with the student at all times and should go home with the student every day. Students earning less than a 70 on a MAJOR test will be given the opportunity to retest the material covered. The grade that will be put into the grade book will be calculated by taking the average of the original test grade and the retest grade. This does not apply to daily/minor grades. Class work and homework cannot be corrected for a higher grade.
