2 What Does “Adequate” Mean?
“Sufficient for a specific need or requirement” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary). Adequate because of its source One proof can be found in the results: Affirming this is one thing, proving it is another The Scriptures as such are the production of God “Inspired by God” (THEOPNEUSTOS) literally means “God-breathed”

3 What About The Scriptures Being Profitable?
What about the Scriptures being “profitable?” How can this be realized? For teaching (doctrine) The activity of imparting knowledge concerning God's revelation in Christ is meant here Not just any teaching, but “sound words” (2 Tim. 1:13) and “sound doctrine” (Titus 2:1).

4 What About The Scriptures Being Profitable?
What about the Scriptures being “profitable?” How can this be realized? For reproof Warnings, based on the word, need to be issued from time to time - i.e., Lk. 21:34 Errors in doctrine and conduct must be refuted in the spirit of love - 2 Tim. 4:3-4 Dangers must be pointed out - Acts 20:28- 31 False teachers need to be exposed - 1 Jn. 4:1

What about the Scriptures being “profitable?” How can this be realized? For correction Not only be reproved, but pointed in the right direction. Anyone can oppose something. It is obligatory to show what is right - 1 Tim. 6:1-12

What about the Scriptures being “profitable?” How can this be realized? For training in righteousness Every Christian needs this kind of training Such training will allow prosperous returns in all other avenues - Titus 2:11- 14

7 What About The Scriptures Being Profitable?
The Scriptures furnish the rules of righteous living in abundance, and thus are adequate to the whole work of recovering man from his sin, and of guiding him to heaven

8 To What Degree Are The Scriptures Adequate?
To the extent that the “man of God” (a Christian) lacks nothing; i.e., is “adequate, equipped for every good work” - 2 Peter 1:3 Will allow one to have all those qualifications which are necessary to complete the character - Gal 5:22-23

9 To What Degree Are The Scriptures Adequate?
The Scriptures are so complete in direction that Christians do not need to cling to the unwritten traditions of their fathers, or the writings of pagan philosophers, for directions as to how to live life and worship God. Often, the student will outgrow the teacher with their knowledge. With the Scriptures, it is never the case.

10 God has done His part. Have you done yours?
God's Plan of Salvation GOD'S PART The great love of God for man (Jn 3:16) He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, as the Savior (Lk 19:10) Sent the Holy Spirit as a guide (Jn 16:13) Gave the Gospel as "the power" unto salvation (Rom 1:16) Provided atonement by the blood of Christ (Rom 5:9) MAN'S PART Hear the Gospel (Rom 10:17, Jn 8:32) Believe the Gospel (Heb 11:6, Jn 20:31) Repent of past sins (Lk 13:3, Acts 17:30) Confess faith in Jesus Christ (Rom 10:10, Matt 10:32) Be Baptized (Gal 3:27, Mk 16:16, Acts 2:38) Be faithful unto death (Rev 2:10) God has done His part.
