Kindergarten State Standards
Kindergarten State Standards

Ready Gen ReadyGEN is our reading series. It is an integrated and well-balanced approach to reading and writing instruction for Grades K-6 classrooms. Authentic texts with modeling and teacher- directed activities drive learning and motivate readers. ... Instruction focuses on reading, writing, speaking, and listening in response to authentic texts.

IRLA The Independent Reading Level Assessment (IRLA) is a unified, standards-based framework for student assessment, text leveling, and curriculum and instruction. The IRLA includes every State Standard for Reading, both in literature and informational text, as well as those Language standards key to reading success, for students in grades PreK through 12.

Dibels DIBELS stands for Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills. DIBELS’ measures help teachers determine how students are performing on important reading skills and if they’re on track for grade-level reading success. The critical skills necessary for successful beginning reading include: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Theses are often referred to as the “Big Ideas” of reading A teacher can identify students who do not meet the goals on each DIBELS measure and provide extra help. For example, if your child is reading words accurately, but slowly, we can provide extra practice re-reading stories and passages to improve his or her reading rate or fluency. The teacher can use the progress monitoring scores to make sure each child receives extra help to improve other reading skills during the school year.
