Culture Trumps Strategy, Every Time Nilofer Merchant
Culture is the set of habits that allows a group of people to cooperate by assumption rather than by negotiation. Based on that definition, culture is not what we say, but what we do without asking. A healthy culture allows us to produce something with each other, not in spite of each other. That is how a group of people generates something much bigger than the sum of the individuals involved. Evaluation Process for 2019
We hold closed evaluations No parents or relatives will be allowed in the arena. Parent coaches and staff supporting evaluations are the only exception. 1st day, players need to trade in their Pod jersey for an evaluation jersey (Reversible) Please have the POD jersey washed! Players will keep the eval jersey during the entire process Parents should have all forms and checks turned in Kris Murphy
11
Evaluation Process for 2019
Players will need to remove any stickers on their helmets that are not ACYHA. Players will need to wear a pair of matching hockey socks, red breezers and white helmet during evals. Please make sure your player has their jersey and equipment before leaving for the rink. We will check each player’s number and color before each session. We will have a parent (SafeSport certified) in the locker room ½ hour before and 15 minutes after each eval session. Kris Murphy

U12/U15 Girls Evaluations Six U12-age Girls will participate in the PW evaluations. These Girls are vying for a limited number of spots on the U15 team which is short players and not holding evaluations. Those Girls not making the U15 team will play either U12 Girls or PWs – each family has pre-declared which. The six will be fully integrated into the eval process and Evaluators will simply see and score five additional skaters. After evaluations complete, the Girls Travel Coordinator will review the ranking of the six Girls and determine the cut-off for U15. If one of these Girls declaring PWs does not make the U15 cut-off, they will simply fall into the PW ranking for team formation. Jim/Brennan
