1 Where is Your Faith? Luke 8:22-25
Jesus helped His apostles increase their faith by demonstrating His power, sharing His power with them, and challenging them to use it. He helps us in much the same way. Faith is increased by meeting difficult challenges. There is no easy way.

2 A Storm That Measured Faith Luke 8:22-25
Jesus is in the boat with His disciples when the storm comes (Matthew 28:20; Ps. 16:8) The disciples plead for the Lord to help them (Psalm 107:21-31) He calms the storm and they are amazed (Psalm 65:7) He asks, “Where is your faith?” (Prov. 24:10) The storm revealed the disciples need for stronger faith, and Jesus’ calming of the storm gave them a reason to have it!

3 Jesus Provides Three Additional Faith-building Miracles
He heals the man possessed with a legion of demons (Luke 8:26-39) He heals the woman with an issue of blood (Luke 8:40-48) He raises the daughter of Jairus’ (Luke 8:49-56).

4 Jesus Provides Two Faith-building Challenges
Jesus gives the disciples power to do miracles themselves (Luke 9:1-10). But they are also presented with a case requiring even greater strength and faith (Luke 9:38-43).

5 “My friends, be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble
“My friends, be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble. You know that you learn to endure by having your faith tested. But you must learn to endure everything, so that you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything.” -- James 1:2-4 (CEV)
