3. Year 1 Systems
We encourage the children to take ownership of their learning
There is no green communication book. We encourage children to hand in letters from home as we do not check their Blue Bags
We have an open door policy- any problems, please do come and talk to us

4. Reading books sent out weekly by teacher
Free Choice books- are chosen by children and can be changed as often as they like! (Please do not record FC books in the reading record)
Sight Word Sets checked regularly- please practise at home
Library books sent out weekly (if we have parent helpers)– Chosen by the children
Early Morning activities – EMR, EMP (by invitation only)

5. Please name your child’s belongings
Everything MUST be named
Water bottles
Lunch boxes
Clothing
Coats – always have one

6. P.E. PE lessons and Love the Ball session every other week
Named PE kit: shorts, t-shirt & velcro trainers in a named bag
No earrings, no jewellery
Medicines/inhalers to be kept in
office

7. Helping in school
Everyone needs a DBS
