We can tailor our classroom YouTube use to help teach different instructional content in a variety of ways.
We can also have students learn through YouTube as a medium.

A playlist helps organize a set of videos you want want viewers to enjoy in a single session or a particular order.
Create a playlist within your YouTube channel that you could use in the classroom.

Explain the task and direct participants to the navigation within their YouTube channel. Let them figure things out on their own for about half the time, pause to ask questions/whole group discussion, then with the remaining time circulate to provide help, and allow them to help each other. Ask volunteers to share playlists.

When should I make a playlist?
To group a set of videos that you want viewers to enjoy in a single session or in a particular order
To group videos around a theme or a tent-pole event.
To separate multiple shows into playlists and feature on your channel.
To combine your most-viewed videos with new uploads.
To create “Best of” playlists to lure (and entertain!) potential subscribers.

1. go to playlists
2. Click the plus sign next to “New Playlist” and give your playlist a title.
3. Adjust privacy settings & click Create.
4. From there click “Add video” where you can search YouTube for content.

Then, pause to ask questions/whole group discussion, then with the remaining time circulate to provide help, and allow them to help each other. Then ask volunteers to share videos.

Uploading a video will vary slightly by device, but to get started uploading videos on YouTube, follow the steps below:
Sign into YouTube.
Click the Upload button at the top of the page. From here either:
select existing video from your device
Use direct capture
Create a photo slideshow
Broadcast live from google hangouts
