Store Numbers by Trading Brand Shoprite had a net opening of 18 stores in HY2019 Shoprite remains the largest trading brand with 49% of the Group’s Supermarket brand store share with 657 stores of which are in Non-SA across 14 countries The 12 months to December 2018 saw 31 stores open and 5 close Checkers opened a net 6 new stores in HY2019 (No new Hypers, however many of these are being/have been refurbished) The Checkers portfolio is 227 Checkers stores and 37 Checkers Hyper Checkers has 81 stores in 2 Non-SA Checkers and Checkers Hypers account for 20% of the Group’s Supermarket brand store share Usave account for 31% of supermarket store numbers for the Group Net 9 new stores opened in HY2019 Usave has a total of 409 stores of which 571 are in 8 Non-SA countries SOURCE: Shoprite Holdings NOTE: 1variance due to timing – data off website

Shoprite Group now has a total of 419 stores trading outside SA, across 14 countries in Africa and Indian Ocean islands In the 12 months to December stores opened and 18 closed The Group has 2381 Supermarkets in Non-SA at the end of HY2019, as well as 211 LiquorShop, 19 MediRite, 891 Furniture stores and 561 OKFD stores SOURCE: Shoprite Holdings NOTE: 1variance due to timing – data off website
