2 Fig 1 Technique of sternoclavicular joint resection (SCJ) and pectoralis flap closure. The SCJ is resected with up to 50% of the manubrium and up to one third of the medial clavicle (A). The resulting chest wall defect is obliterated with a partial pectoralis major advancement flap based on the thoracoacromial artery (B). (SCM = sternocleidomastoid muscle.)
