2 What is PBIS? Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
Just like we teach you about author’s purpose, about the scientific method, how to compute linear equations and so much more, PBIS is how we teach and reward you for following behavioral expectations

4 Around the school you will see CATS Code posters.
They will help you know what to do in each area of the school.

5 Lessons Over the next couple of days you and your peers will have short lessons during each class period on the behavioral expectations we have for all students.

6 You might ask…? What is in it for me?
What will I gain if I follow behavioral expectations?

7 If you FOLLOW Rules you will gain:
A sense that what you are learning is relevant A sense of accomplishment A love for a subject you are studying The opportunity to be in class Good Grades

8 You might be thinking, “Those rewards are great, but what else?”

9 If You FOLLOW Rules: AND
CATS Cards: are awarded to you for following expectations. You can use the CATS Cards to: “Purchase items” on Spirt Day Vote for incentives like having your favorite teacher duct taped to the wall AND

10 In the hallway are 4 CATS Cards Ballot Boxes:
Daily Drawing If you want the chance for a quick small reward (e.g. fun size candy bar), then drop your CATS Cards in the daily box and you might win. A winner is chosen everyday! Weekly Drawing If you want a chance to win a slightly bigger and better prize(e.g. Takis, Front of the Line Pass), drop your CATS Cards here.

11 In the hallway are 4 CATS Cards Ballot Boxes:
Monthly Drawing If you want to try your luck and win a significant prize (e.g. a doughnut pillow) drop your cards here. Quarterly Drawing If you want to venture for our biggest prizes (e.g. 5 lb Hershey’s Bar, earbuds, or speakers), drop you cards here.

12 Increase your chances:
If you are a saver and want a chance at the bigger prizes, drop all or most of your cards in the monthly or quarterly drawing for unbelievable prizes! If you are looking for a quick reward, drop all your cards in the daily or weekly drawing for a chance to win fabulous prizes!

13 If You FOLLOW Rules Bobcat of the Week: One female and one male student are chosen each week. The Bobcats of the Week receive prizes, treats, a certificate and your name on the School TVs!

14 If You FOLLOW Rules Bobcat of the Month: Award Breakfast and Plaque

15 If You FOLLOW Rules Honor Roll parties- given at the beginning of each term for students on the last quarters honor roll. You need to have a 3.75 G.P.A.
