Club House S.t.e.a.m By: Stephanie Alonso & Cristopher Gonzalez
2
Why did we choose to build a Club house?!
A club HOUSE it’s a basic structure that can be modeled and used for many things. Such as science and technology , math , Art and engineering. Aside of the inspiring concept of a house we choose it to demonstrate how all these features are involved around it.
3
Science in S.t.e.a.m Non-living •Rocks
Two different fields of science are represented in the 3d- house model.(Biology &Anatomy) -Biology ; ecosystems Biology it’s the study of many organisms. Inside the outside garden there are varieties of living and non- living species. These are ; Living •frogs •snakes •Birds ; butterfly , bees ,lady bug •plants ; grass , roses, flowers Non-living •Rocks
4
Anatomy ; Forms of energy (Potential and Kinetic )
Potential energy its also known as stored energy . For example; A powered off engine. The lights that surrounds the House its powered by Batteries which contain potential energy( or electricity ) . That it’s stored until powered on. Once this potential energy its released it forms into kinetic energy ; the energy that travels through the cables and transmits electricity to create light. Kinetic energy it’s the action of potential energy being released.
5
Technology in S.t.e.a.m The technology used in this project its represented by the PowerPoint presentation. A software designed to present projects in an easier and more helpful way. “Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation program, created by Robert Gaskins and Dennis Austin at a software company named Forethought, and was released on April 20,1987.”
6
Art in s.t.e.a.m There are many branches in art ; some of these are :
Texture ;materials Tone, colors and shade Patterns
7
Colors in art The colors used in this 3D-model are listed below;
▪ Vivid Red ▪ orange ▪Sky Blue ▪Mid-shade Green ▪Black and White ▪Dark Brown and Light brown ▪ECT.
8
Textures and materials in art
Colors come in many different textures and materials. Those included in the House are; ¤Metal-(chairs), Dark Brown ¤Fabric-(grass), Dark Green &(borders) black ¤DuDr tape- (walls ), carpet light brown &(Orange)-stripes on floor ¤sticker(adhesive material)- Light blue
9
Patterns in art Patterns can be found not also in art but in the exterior and interior of the club house. . It is found in the pattern of the picnic area, in the clubs house floor design and in the repetitive fence pattern. Pattern its a repeated decorative design.
10
Math in s.t.e.a.m Math it’s a enormous term that has many branches. In this project its not only used algebra to find the area of the house by using the length and width , but there is geometry; involving lines, angles and theorems
11
Angles in math There are 4 exterior 90°angles in the corners of the 3d Model “Club House “. In the inside shapes there are another ° angles. •2 acute angles that form the Clubs house and another acute angle that makes up one side of the Pool.
12
angle theorems in math <3 And <1 are corresponding
<2And <4 are corresponindg <5 and <7 are corresponding <6 and < 8 are corresponding <1 And <2 are liners pair <2and < 6 are linear pair <6 and 5 are linear pair <5 and 1 Are linear pair <5 and <3 are same side interior <6 And <4 are same side interior <1 and <7 are same side exterior <2 And <8 are same side exterior <5 and <4 are alternate interior angles <6 and <3 Are alternate interior angles <1 and <8 are alternate exterior angles <2 and <7 are alternate exterior angles
13
Planes and parallel lines
Plane ABCD consists of four parallel lines, AB, CD, AD, BC. L is the transversal of the two parallel lines, which are M & N.
14
Reflection in Math Reflection its represented in the picnic area where y and x - axis were added and dots were placed to visualize 4 points being reflected over the y- axis (like of reflection).
15
Rotation in math Rotation It’s mainly shown in the Swirl . The swirl turns 360° , 90° ,and 180° clockwise and counterclockwise, representing the use of rotation in an object .
16
The outcome of building this steam project was not only to develop our skills in team work , listening And speaking but To comprehend the use of science , technology, engineering, Art and math In a simple thing such as a house. The outcome
