1 Contentment The maturity of mind to say “I have enough”
The opposite of greed We are born entirely selfish (dependent babies must be this way) We eventually must learn unselfishness Contentment is a learned character trait

2 Let your character be free from. the love of money, being content
Let your character be free from the love of money, being content with what you have… Heb 13:5a

3 But godliness actually is a means. of great gain, when accompanied
But godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentment. For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. And if we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. 1 Tim 6:6-8

6 Contentment Not being content indicates we are worldly and carnal…not spiritual We are not prepared for the life to come if we have too much of a desire for things in this life

7 Contentment May we be thankful for all our blessings from God
May we not have a spirit of ingratitude May we not have a covetous or greedy desire for more than He has given us

9 Contentment We must even be content in how we worship God
We must desire to only offer the worship He has revealed to us in His word We trust all who have assembled this morning have come for the purpose of doing just that Join us now as we offer God our worship
