Immune correlates of protection. Bar plots of Pearson correlations between the clinical score and gene expression (using data obtained from RNA-seq analysis) (A) or protein abundance (using data obtained from proteomics MS/MS analysis) (B) selected by the Lasso method. RNA-seq and proteomic analyses were performed using samples from all immunized animals. This variable selection method, based on penalized linear regression, identifies the genes/proteins, which are the most related to the clinical score (see Supplementary Materials and Methods). The x axis indicates the value of the correlation between each gene/protein selected by the Lasso and the clinical score. The color of the bars indicates the sign of the correlation (negative in blue and positive in red).
