Dear Parents…
2
Stay Tuned In Ask your child what he or she is studying, and look in the homework folder every night. The homework folder is where you will find the homework sheet, notes, and newsletters that are sent home. Progress reports will be sent to inform you of your child’s grades.
3
Ask Questions If you have concerns or are wondering why something is happening, please feel free to call or us at any time. Our goal as educators is to make phone calls or send notes if we feel your child is not progressing as expected. If this does not happen to your satisfaction, set up a conference to discuss your child’s progress; This is your right as a parent.
4
Newsletter Our monthly newsletter will help you to keep up with important things going on in the classroom.
5
Homework You should expect that your child will have some type of homework or study materials everyday. You will find the homework written on an assignment log kept in the homework folder. Look for attachment study items within the folder (handouts).
6
Study Time! We encourage you to set up with your child a scheduled time for homework each day. Students should be able to do most assignments independently, but do help if it is completely necessary. If you notice that your child is not able to do an assignment on his or her own, please send a note or jot a note on the assignment.
7
Snacks Snacks are sold at school. Students are allowed to purchase snacks; however, time for eating snacks will NOT be allotted in our daily schedule.
8
Arrival for School Students are expected to attend school daily.
Students should arrive to school no later than 8:00 a.m. Students arriving after this time is tardy and should check in at the office before reporting to class. Parent conferences are required for students with excessive absences!
