Figure 1 Surgical site infection reduction bundle results. Compliance with each component of the bundle 18 months after implementation showed a significant increase in use of the bundle components compared with pre-intervention (p < for each component). Compliance with all 3 bundle components was 35.6%. In-hospital surgical site infection rates in infra-inguinal bypass operations fell from 18% to 4% after implementation of the surgical site infection reduction bundle (p = 0.002).
