3 celebrations ROES is the only Fine Arts Magnet school in CCS.
ROES is an A+ School of the Arts, in the A+ National Network. ROES anticipates meeting our growth goals for (data forthcoming). Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Recognition as a Model School

4 Our current goals School Improvement Goals:
Digital Learning Environments Arts Integration PBIS Continued Implementation School Improvement Team meetings are held monthly. We welcome your attendance and agenda item suggestions.

5 Title 1 program All ROES students benefit from our Title 1 program.
ROES is a Title 1 school. All ROES students benefit from our Title 1 program. After school tutoring program sponsored by the Academic Learning Center. All ROES students receive breakfast and lunch at no cost to parents through a Community Eligibility Program.

6 Title 1 Funds Royal Oaks received $194,327 this year to support instruction. Title 1 Plan and Support: Two Lead Interventionists to help students improve reading/math/behavior One additional classroom teacher to help eliminate combination classes Instructional Materials for interventions Parent Involvement Funding to support academics Additional tutors to support instruction

Annual Title 1 Meeting CCS Title 1 Parent Engagement Policy reviewed annually ROES Title 1 Parent Engagement Policy reviewed annually Title 1 Parent Engagement Plan is available electronically (on website) and on paper. School-Parent Compact reviewed annually and is available electronically (on website) and on paper.

8 Benefits of parent involvement
When parents/guardians are involved: Students earn better grades. Students attend school regularly. Students show improved behavior. Students perform better outside of school. Improves the school climate and community

Attend Curriculum Events Participate in First Quarter Conferences Webpages, Facebook School and Classroom Newsletters Volunteer, Participate on school committees, PTO Read with your child nightly Talk with your child about what they are learning

10 communication Two-way communication is essential for an effective partnership between the school and home. Please keep your contact information updated. Communicate regularly with teachers (notes, , phone calls, signing progress reports and report cards). If you have a question or concern, contact the teacher. Parents have the right to: Know and request teacher qualifications Voice concerns and make suggestions Participate in the decision-making process Provide input and feedback on the school improvement plan

13 Informing instruction
Teachers use a variety of assessments to inform their instruction and respond to student needs including: Informal Observations Adaptive Technology (iStation, iReady) Pre/Post Tests Benchmark Assessments (Mastery Connect) Information regarding your child’s progress will occur: Quarterly Progress Reports, Report Cards First Quarter Conferences; Additionally as needed/requested

14 School Attendance Regular school attendance is key to success.
Excessive absences have a major affect on student achievement. Retention, Truancy Court Students must be in class by 8:15 or they are considered tardy.
