3 Enterprise Mobility + Security
What’s available? Enterprise Mobility + Security Office 365 Windows 10 Enterprise Dynamics 365 Microsoft 365 License-based services are licensed with User Subscription Licenses assigned to individual users Talk Track: These are the Online Services that are available through CSP and (click) everything you see on the screen here is licensed in CSP with a User Subscription License assigned to individual users So that includes the client operating system – Windows 10 Enterprise, the Office 365 family of products (including of course Office 365 ProPlus), and EMS to help IT to deliver a secure and managed technology solution. Those products are available as a single suite called Microsoft 365 if required And finally there are the Dynamics 365 products available for CRM and ERP solutions

4 Licensing for cloud and hybrid deployments
Talk Track: Let’s now turn our attention to the cloud. Although the cloud will be our focus for this section we’ll also look at how customers can license for a hybrid deployment too

5 Cloud and hybrid deployments
Talk Track: This is what a customer might want to do – perhaps not all of them simultaneously! On the left-hand side we have users who access cloud services and the bottom user accesses an on-premises solution too, and the right hand side users just access an on-premises solution It’s absolutely fine to mix a deployment like this and it’s straightforward from a licensing perspective When we start talking about cloud services these are always Subscription Licenses and in the majority of cases these are User Subscription Licenses Some users have multiple devices and access on-premises deployments or cloud services. Other users may share devices and just access on-premises deployments.

6 Ways to Buy User Subscription Licenses
Talk Track: Let’s start by seeing how customers can buy User Subscription Licenses

7 Ways to buy User Subscription Licenses
10/15/2019 Ways to buy User Subscription Licenses Web Direct Purchased from Microsoft’s website Cloud Solution Provider Program Purchased through partners Talk Track: You can see the three choices that customers have Typically it’s consumers or small businesses who choose to buy licenses from Microsoft’s website Most businesses will choose between buying from a partner through the Cloud Solution Provider program or using a Volume Licensing agreement again Enterprise Agreement MPSA Open and Open Value Volume Licensing A variety of different program types to suit all kinds of organizations © 2012 Microsoft Corporation. 8 Cloud Solution Provider program
Availability and Support Most Online Services are available Partners provide support and may sell the licenses as part of a business solution Purchasing Rules No minimums Customers may add and reduce licenses as required Payment upfront either annually or monthly Talk Track: This is the new kid on the block – CSP (click) It includes the vast majority of the Online Services and is always sold through partners – they MUST provide support and often sell the licenses for the Online Services as part of a wider solution (click) It’s a very flexible program – there are no minimums and licenses may be added or reduced at any time

9 Volume Licensing Agreements
Availability On-premises and Subscription Licenses may be bought through the same agreement Subscription Licenses are available for all Online Services Purchasing Rules Upfront annual payment for 12- month term Talk Track: In terms of availability (click) if a customer chooses to purchase licenses through a Volume Licensing agreement then they may have a single agreement for both Online Services and on-premises products licenses All Online Services are available through the Volume Licensing agreements – although not all products through every agreement! In terms of the purchasing rules (click) it’s a 12-month term for Subscription licenses which must be paid for upfront

10 Windows 10 Enterprise Talk Track:
So let’s get some more detail on User Subscription Licenses, starting with Windows 10

11 Licensing Windows 10 Enterprise
By User By Device Talk Track: I want to quickly re-visit Windows 10 Enterprise at this point – we looked at device licenses for Windows earlier. In fact, customers can buy user licenses for Windows as an alternative too – very useful when they want to license their users to use Windows on several devices. If they want to do this, they would buy User Subscription Licenses for Windows 10 Enterprise Use of Windows on the licensed device by any user Great when users share devices Use of Windows on any device by the licensed user Great when a user needs to install Windows on multiple devices

12 Licensing Windows 10 Retail CSP Open Open Value Enterprise Agreement
Windows 10 Pro Y Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 Windows 10 Enterprise Windows 10 Enterprise E3 Windows 10 Enterprise E5 Windows 10 Enterprise E3 Add-on User SL Windows 10 Enterprise E5 Add-on User SL Windows 10 Enterprise E5 Step-Up User SL Device User Talk Track: This slide shows all the Windows 10 licenses that are available for customers to buy and you can see that they are split into device licenses – the traditional way of licensing Windows, user licenses, and Add-ons – which allow users to change between device and user licensing for example The CSP column is labelled with “Cloud Agreement” – that’s the agreement that we learnt about in the first session that governs the use rights of products bought under CSP – and we can see that it’s just user licenses that are available in CSP If you look along the row for the Windows 10 E3 and E5 User SLs then you’ll see that they’re available in CSP as well as the EA, for example. However, the use rights are not the same in both programs – let’s take a look Add-ons

13 Office 365 Talk Track: But our main focus for this section is the Online Services so let’s move on to that and start with Office 365

14 Office 365 Office 365 brings together cloud versions of Microsoft’s most trusted communications and collaboration products with the latest version of the desktop applications for businesses of all sizes Office 365 Applications Microsoft Exchange Online Talk Track: Office 365 is a family of Online Services and you can see some familiar names here – Exchange and SharePoint for example. These Online Services are online versions of the on-premises products that we looked at earlier Office 365 also includes the Office applications (Word, Excel etc) and the difference between Office 365 ProPlus (as it’s called) and Office Professional Plus 2019 that we looked at earlier is that Office Professional Plus 2019 is a device license for Office and Office 365 ProPlus licenses the same core set of applications but on a user basis So, these days with the desktop products – Windows and Office – customers can choose to license them on a device or a user basis But there are many more Office 365 services and although customers can buy them as separate licenses, typically they purchase Plans which are collections of different services. Let’s take a look at that now Microsoft SharePoint Online Microsoft Skype for Business Online

15 Office 365 plans Business Essentials Business Premium
Office 365 Business Office 365 ProPlus F1 E1 E3 E5 User maximum 300 Unlimited Microsoft Office Office 365 applications Office for tablets Mobile apps Office for the web Productivity Tools Yammer, Teams Microsoft Exchange Online Plan 1 * Plan 2 Microsoft SharePoint Online Microsoft Skype for Business Online Phone System Audio Conferencing Analytics Power BI Pro, MyAnalytics Security Advanced Threat Protection Compliance Advanced Data Governance Talk Track: Key points to bring out: Business editions are limited to 300 users Office Online is browser-based versions of Office Office 365 applications = Office 365 ProPlus for E, and Office 365 Business for B – there are differences in use rights Rights to install the Office applications on 5 PCs + 5 tablets + 5 phones Not an exhaustive list – the website is very good for comparison charts and this changes very frequently with new services being added all the time Standard v Enterprise functionality * F1 versions

16 Dual access rights Office 365 Services SharePoint Office 365
Talk Track: We said at the beginning of this section that we’d be looking at hybrid deployments – it’s a rare customer who can move overnight from an on-premises deployment to a cloud solution and many customers use hybrid solutions in the short and into the longer term You can see here that on the left-hand side Enterprise licenses include rights to both the Online Services and the equivalent on-premises servers. The Business licenses on the right-hand side don’t include these rights This may further influence which licenses on the previous slide customers feel are right for them SharePoint Skype for business Exchange Office 365 Enterprise Licenses Office 365 Business Licenses

17 Enterprise Mobility + Security
Talk Track: User licensing means that users can start to use multiple devices – which gives its own headache in terms of management And this is where EMS comes in

18 Enterprise Mobility + Security
Users Devices Apps Data Users expect to be able to work in any location and have access to all their work resources. Users need to be productive while maintaining compliance and reducing risk. The explosion of devices is eroding the standards-based approach to corporate IT. Deploying and managing applications across platforms is difficult. Talk Track: One of the challenges with having user licensing and users using more than one device, is that the management job is harder Enterprise Mobility + Security is a suite which makes managing and securing mobile devices easier EMS is all about offering an organization a suite of tools that helps them to securely enable a mobile solution. You can see the individual tools at the bottom of the slide and it’s those individual products that form the suite that is EMS. The Microsoft tools map to the enterprise mobility needs of organizations, so first of all we have Azure Active Directory Premium and Cloud App Security that enable identity and access management – do you know who is connecting to your infrastructure and do people have access to the things that they should do? Then Intune offers a complete mobile device management solution as more devices are added to an organization, or a mobile application management solution as users bring in their own devices and don’t want them completely managed at the device level. And finally Azure Information Protection Premium enables you to limit data leakage so that documents aren’t stored in insecure places or sent to the wrong people, and Azure Advanced Threat Protection for Users is a cloud-based security solution that helps you to detect and investigate security incidents across your networks EMS is a suite containing all of those technologies so, again, customers can buy individual components or can choose a suite Identity and Access Management Mobile Device Management Information Protection Mobile Application Management Azure Active Directory Premium Cloud App Security Azure Information Protection Premium Azure Advanced Threat Protection for Users Microsoft Intune

20 Microsoft 365 Talk Track: And so to Microsoft 365

21 Microsoft 365 Productivity tools from Office 365 User Productivity Empower users with best-in-class productivity across devices while providing IT security and control Windows 10 Microsoft 365 Multiple Devices Complete cloud solution Talk Track: A User Subscription License for Microsoft 365 offers a customer a convenient way of licensing the Windows 10 and Office 365 components that a user needs, along with the tools that the IT department needs to make sure that a user’s devices are secure and well managed. Microsoft 365 is a single license for all of these components and is more cost-effective than buying the components separately, and since it’s a user license, it licenses that user to use the tools on up to 5 devices. Businesses have different needs in terms of exactly which Office 365 plan or edition of Windows 10 is right for them, and so there are different flavors of Microsoft 365 available. Let’s take a look at the members of the Microsoft 365 family Single, per-user subscription Security and management tools from EMS IT Manageability Suite discount

22 The Microsoft 365 family Microsoft 365 E3/E5 Microsoft 365 Business
Office 365 Office 365 E3/E5 Office 365 Business Premium Office 365 F1 Windows 10 Windows 10 E3/E5 Windows 10 Pro Windows 10 E3 Security and Management EMS E3/E5 Features from EMS + Windows 10 Enterprise EMS E3 Talk Track: We know that the members of the family combine Office 365, (click) Windows 10 and features from EMS First of all we have Microsoft 365 Enterprise E3 and E5 (click) aimed at enterprises of all sizes and combining the E3 or E5 flavors of all of the products Then we have Microsoft 365 Business (click) which has a subset of features aimed at the smaller business, and is technically limited to 300 users And finally, Microsoft 365 F1 (click) which is aimed at those users who still need productivity tools and to use a secure and well managed device but perhaps (as our truck driver) doesn’t spend all day every day at that device and needs a lesser set of tools. This is the perfect complement to Microsoft 365 E3 where a larger business may have a variety of users, and indeed organizations may mix and match any members of the Microsoft 365 family

23 http://bit.ly/2gaF77o Talk Track:
This is a useful overview of Firstline Workers – you can see some examples on the slide here of the types of people this might be and how important it is that they are provided with the right technology and to make sure that they continue to feel motivated and included

24 Office 365 and Microsoft 365 comparison charts
Talk Track: First of all let me direct you to some very useful comparison charts where you can see that it’s easy to compare the functionality that different plans include Let’s zoom in on the first part of the table to see some detail (click) This allows us to see, among other things, the prices of the plans in US dollars per user per month and it highlights a choice that is often considered by a small or medium business. You can see that Microsoft 365 Business is $20 per user per month, and so is Office 365 E3. If I have $20 to spend per user each month, which might be the right choice for me?

25 Why Microsoft 365 E5? SECURITY PRODUCTIVITY TELEPHONY
Advanced Enterprise Protection PRODUCTIVITY Analytics, Insights and Enterprise Video TELEPHONY Complete Cloud Communication Talk Track: So there are significant differences between Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 – what are some of the reasons that may make a customer consider Microsoft 365 E5? Here are the three key areas. Let’s mention “Productivity” first and tools that fall into this category would be Power BI Pro and Stream. Now, it’s unlikely that these tools on their own would be the things that made a customer decide to purchase Microsoft 365 E5, but it’s worth noting two things: firstly these components are available separately – so we could license everyone with Microsoft 365 E3 and then purchase these elements for relevant users, and secondly if a customer does go to Microsoft 365 E5 (for additional security functionality, for example), then these additional tools will be included and will help to show the value of Microsoft 365 E5 But let’s drill into the other areas since they are more significant reasons for a customer to consider Microsoft 365 E5

26 What are your security needs?
Step up from M365 E3 to M365 E5 is $25.50 Windows 10 Enterprise E5 Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection $5.00 Enterprise Mobility + Security E5 Microsoft Cloud App Security $3.50 Azure Advanced Threat Protection for Users $2.25 Azure Active Directory Premium Plan 2 $3.00 Azure Information Protection Premium Plan 2 $3.00 Office 365 E5 Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection Plan 2 $5.00 Advanced Compliance $8.00 TOTAL $29.75 Microsoft 365 E5 Security $12 Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection Microsoft Cloud App Security Azure Advanced Threat Protection for Users Azure Active Directory Premium Plan 2 Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection Plan 2 Microsoft 365 E5 Compliance $10 Azure Information Protection Premium Plan 2 Advanced Compliance Talk Track: You can see here that the difference in price between a Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 license is $ If a customer was interested in ALL of the security components that are included in Microsoft 365 E5 then it’s clear to see that buying Microsoft 365 E5 rather than the separate components is a good idea However, there are some additional licenses that have recently been added to give customers more choice in this area First of all, there’s an Add-on to Microsoft 365 E3 for security (click) which is just $12 per user per month and contains the components shown Alternatively, there’s the Compliance Add-on (click) So, if a customer is just interested in the security elements, then the Security Add-on is ideal, but if they are interested in a variety of components then the full Step-up may be best

27 What is your telephony strategy?
Step up from M365 E3 to M365 E5 is $25.50 Audio Conferencing $4.00 Phone System $8.00 TOTAL $12.00 Let me give you my direct number Talk Track: The two telephony tools are Audio Conferencing and Phone System and you can see that as standalone components they are nearly half of the cost of the $25.50 amount Thus, this will probably not be the sole reason that a customer chooses to move to Microsoft 365 E5, but it’s interesting additional value during a discussion of the key workloads of Microsoft 365 E5 Just as a final note – if, as a customer you’ve made the decision to go with Microsoft 365 E5 – perhaps based on the security tools – it’s important to go back to the diverse BDMs who might be interested in telephony, or Power BI, or Stream, and make sure that these tools are deployed and used by the relevant people in a business, so that you get the most value from your investment PBX Call control and handling

28 Dynamics 365 Talk Track: And now to our last section, considering the Dynamics 365 licenses that are available for customers to purchase. You may already know that Dynamics 365 offers CRM and ERP functionality and in this section we won’t go into detail on these solution areas. If you’re more of a beginner with Dynamics 365 then there are more detailed modules available on Get Licensing Ready that you may want to work through.

29 What is CRM? Customer Relationship Management Fully Integrated
Service Sales and Opportunities Campaigns Customer Relationships Fully Integrated Talk Track: So what IS Customer Relationship Management? Well, it's a collection of what we describe as "integrated, data-driven solutions" that improve how you interact and do business with your customers, all in one place. So I need to be able to store and manage all of my customer account and contact information and track my activities associated with them; I need to track and manage leads and opportunities and my sales pipeline. I also need to manage customer service issues as cases and track service levels and to allow service agents to connect with customers through the channel of their choice. On the marketing side I might want to run targeted campaigns and manage product lists and price lists, and maybe I want to integrate with social media to manage brand reputation, and to assess the sentiment of my customers And finally, having captured all of this customer data, we need to be able to transform it into tangible and actionable insights Insights Social Engagement

30 What is ERP? Enterprise Resource Management Fully Integrated Finance
Personnel Operations Fully Integrated Talk Track: Enterprise Resource Planning joins up those core processes that form the backbone of the operations and project management in any business For example, I need to be able to manage all those business processes associated with invoicing and accounts, and I need to streamline those routine recordkeeping tasks and processes related to staffing my organization. If I work in a retail environment, I need to manage a wide range of business processes, such as merchandising, inventory, and channel management capabilities, as well as perhaps managing actual retail stores And again, having captured this data about my business, I need to be able to transform it into actionable insights Insights Retail

31 Dynamics 365 Enterprise licenses
CRM ERP SALES Enterprise CUSTOMER SERVICE Enterprise FIELD SERVICE FINANCE SUPPLE CHAIN MANAGEMENT SALES Professional CUSTOMER SERVICE Professional PROJECT SERVICE AUTOMATION RETAIL TALENT MARKETING Talk Track: Here’s the full range of Dynamics 365 licenses available, licensing CRM functionality at the left and ERP at the right. The blue licenses are called Apps, and the green ones Plans. Customers choose licenses dependent on the tasks that individual users need to perform, and the names of the Apps are useful here of course – you would clearly use a Field Service license to license someone who needs access to functionality to manage field service tasks. You can see from the little icons that some licenses are User Subscription Licenses and some are Device Subscription Licenses. The Team Members license is a useful one to know about when a user needs light access across all of the solution areas, perhaps when they’re in a supporting role to a Customer Service agent, or a Sales person. These licenses are referred to as Enterprise licenses since the solutions are often used by larger customers. There are alternative licenses available for smaller customers – let’s look at those now. DEVICE ACTIVITY TEAM MEMBERS

32 Dynamics 365 Business Central licenses
Service Management Manufacturing Premium Invoicing Purchase Order Management Simple Inventory Purchasing Opportunity Management Resource Management Advanced Sales Advanced Inventory (stock) Budgets Workflow Finance Contact Management Fixed Assets Distribution Essentials Point of Sale Store Manager Shop Floor Warehouse Device Device Talk Track: Business Central is an ERP solution for smaller customers, perhaps those that have outgrown their current accounting system and want to add additional functionality in their business to manage inventory or workflow for instance. You can see the Business Central solution has something in common with the Enterprise licenses – the Business Central Team Members license which in a similar way to the Enterprise solution, gives light access across the solution. Then other users are licensed with either Business Central Essential or Premium licenses, dependent on what functionality is required by the business. It’s important to note that you can’t mix the Essential and Premium licenses, you need to commit to one or the other as a business. Team Members Read and Approve Run all reports Employee Self Serve
