Each year, all public schools will receive an annual meaningful differentiation based upon their overall combined indicator results in relation to the state average. Assessment participation rate of less than 95% will result in a classification of BELOW.

8 Star Recognition The purpose of the Kansans Can Star Recognition program is to recognize DISTRICTS in the area’s that Kansans said was important for the Success of Each Student.

The percent of students scoring at levels 3 & 4 on State Assessments in Math, ELA & Science. Gold – 75% and Above Silver – % Bronze – % Copper – state average – 49.9% Combing at district level, all grades in all three assessed subjects. Precondition – 95% participation in all 3 assessments Will add ACT & Workkeys in the future.

11 Graduation Rates By the year 2026, 95% of Kansas students graduate HS on time using the 4-year adjusted cohort rate. Gold – 95% and Above Silver – % Bronze – % Copper – state average – 89.9% Precondition – The Districts 5-year effective rate must be at or above the local postsecondary predictive rate.

12 Postsecondary Success
Based on Districts 5-year average effective rate. Gold – 70% and Above Silver – % Bronze – % Copper – state average – 49.9% Precondition – The District must be at or above local postsecondary predictive rate (allowing for a -.4 variance).

13 Postsecondary Commissioners Award
Recognize Districts that are exceeding their postsecondary predictive rate, regardless of the state average. Commissioners Award 1.0 – 1.9 Commissioners Award with Honors > 2.0 Commissioners Award with Distinction Example. Predictive Rate of 31.7 – 35.4 and a 5-year average Effective Rate of 39.3 is .9 standard deviations above prediction.

14 Qualitative Board Outcomes
Kindergarten Readiness: Increase the percent of kindergarten students that are socially, emotionally and academically ready for kindergarten success. Social Emotional Growth: Measured Locally Individual Plans of Study: Beginning no later than the 8th grade, all students have an IPS that informs and guides their secondary and postsecondary plans. Civic Engagement: Schools implement programs and activities that allows students to become civically engaged citizens.
