Introduction Vehicles represent a significant part of a companies operations Apart from the cost of repairs or replacement and the payment of Third party claims, other uninsured cost factors.

Introduction These cost include injuries to people, policy excesses, loss of use of vehicles, management time in investigations, retrieval of damages vehicles and lost trading opportunities. Colas is committed to providing a safe place of work, in particular, when driving its vehicles. This policy will apply to all vehicles and by Colas employees in pursuit of their prescribed duties.

Safe System of Work With regard to Colas staff, there are a number of areas to be considered regarding driving vehicles: Vehicle safety. Vehicle maintenance. Carrying of passengers and personal. The use of mobile phones (in transit). Driving licenses/certificates. Driver’s hours (where applicable). Vehicle checks prior to use.
