Approach used The management of certain low risk skin cancers is entirely standardised and based solely on the pathologists report

Issues Protocol agreed: Stage 1A and in-situ Melanomas
Exclusion criteria set All cases have full pathology review prior to MDT meeting If no changes to report (staging) management proceeds as per existing clinical protocols Standardised minutes

Challenges Nil significant
4 cases had full MDT discussion (within exclusion criteria)

Outcomes Average of 4 cases per meeting (0-8) 44 cases reviewed
Zero changes to original report No safety or outcome concerns Efficient use of time within MDT meetings Focus on high risk patients that benefit from clinical discussion
