3 East Sussex Secondary Inclusion Partnership Project
The project aims to reduce exclusions and improve attendance among vulnerable pupils across 15 schools. By: creating a partnership of mainstream and special schools to harness the expertise in the system focusing on quality first teaching to personalise learning developing the expertise and capacity of specialist leaders through peer networks engaging senior leaders in peer review delivering tailored packages of school to school support improving transition from primary schools. Reducing exclusions & improving attendance for vulnerable pupils Training & sharing best practice Self assessment Peer review (3 rounds) Evaluation & review School to School support Inclusion leads' network Transition co-ordinators' network The project in numbers: 15 Supported secondary schools ✧ 8 Provider schools in East Sussex ✧ 4 specialist provider schools across the south east ✧ 20 months – September 2017 to April ✧ £249,500 funding from DfE
