This gives you the chance to not only meet people from a range of courses and have some fun while studying, but also to develop valuable experience that can help you in life and your future career path. Being involved in volunteering, work placements, travel or experimenting with innovative new projects while at uni, are valuable opportunities for you to develop real-world experience and skills. Curtin Extra helps you develop these skills, as well as showcase your experiences to employers or for applications to scholarships or other opportunities. The Curtin Extra Certificate provides official recognition and evidence of significant involvement in co-curricular programs that contribute to university life and personal and professional development. Curtin Extra complements our graduates' academic achievements and demonstrates to prospective employers that Curtin graduates have the skills, knowledge and industry experience required, giving them a competitive advantage over many of their counterparts from other tertiary institutions. There’s more than 35 Curtin Extra-recognised programs across the University. Whether you’re interested in racing in national competitions with the Curtin Motorsport Team, volunteering throughout WA or Malaysia with Curtin Volunteers! or representing your fellow students through the Curtin Student Guild, there’s bound to be options suited to both your schedule and areas of interest.
