2 The Colonists Begin Uniting
Con Law Lesson 01 The Colonists Begin Uniting Beginning in the 1760's, the colonies will begin a loose association and begin working together due to actions of the British King and Parliament. When the colonies began working together they had no idea that they would unite for a revolution… they just wanted to be treated fairly by the King and Parliament.

8 The Intolerable Acts A series of five laws meant to punish Boston and the whole people of the Massachusetts colony. However, they helped unite Massachusetts with the other colonies who saw the laws as a violation to the laws of England.

9 First Continental Congress
Delegates from every colony met in Philadelphia on 9/5/ They met for 2 months and sent the "Declaration of Rights" to King George. They urged all colonies to refuse trade until King George had the taxes and acts repealed. By early 1775, all colonies gave approval to the First Continental Congress.
