Watershed demonstrations + DIY Beehives CreekFest makes sustainability fun, accessible and engaging in an effort to build awareness and interest in environmental responsibility and sustainable practices.

VENDORS: SAN ANTONIO RIVER AUTHORITY River Authority staff will provide demonstrations and activities about Low Impact Design strategies, watershed management tools, and DIY beehives for your backyard. Participants can bring their creations home with them. ALAMO HEIGHTS ISD DESTINATION IMAGINATION TEAM The Alamo Heights ISD Destination Imagination Team is a global educational nonprofit dedicated to inspiring the next generation of innovators, leaders, and creative problem solvers. Students learn through hands-on, collaborative, and fun educational experiences. CIBOLO NATURE CENTER AND FARM The Cibolo Nature Center & Farm now provides nature-focused education, research, entertainment and outdoor activities for more than 100,000 visitors a year, while promoting sound stewardship of land, water and wildlife. EDWARDS AQUIFER AUTHORITY The Edwards Aquifer Authority is a regional water management agency that regulates the use of the aquifer through integrity, transparency, and respect for the resource and the people that use it. Learn about how you can help the EAA achieve its mission to manage, enhance and protect the Edwards Aquifer. LAUREL BODINUS Learn how to make artwork out of recycled materials with local artist Laurel Bodinus. Participants will be able to take their creations home. LMG PHOTOGRAPHY Local photographer, Luis Garza, will bring his pop up photo booth to CreekFest where visitors can pose for free photographs with the beautiful San Pedro Creek Culture Park as the backdrop. MOMO & POMPA Local artists, Momo & Pompa, will debut a new, large-scale artwork made entirely out of recycled materials. The sculpture, titled San Antonio Rob-Car, will transform from a car to a robot and back! Visitors can join Momo and Pompa in an art activity that you can take home with you. REWORKSSA ReWorksSA is deeply committed to being San Antonio Business’ trusted resource for connecting businesses to cost effective solutions and to the customers who value social responsibility. SAN ANTONIO BOTANICAL GARDENS The San Antonio Botanical Garden’s mission is to inspire people to connect with the plant world and understand the importance of plants in our lives. At the event, they will lead activities for visitors to create and take home with them. TEXAS MASTER NATURALIST – ALAMO AREA CHAPTER The mission of the Alamo Area Chapter is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers who provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within our community for the state of Texas. URBAN-15 For more than 40 years, URBAN-15 has remained a group of enthusiastic performers fighting to present new, unique, and relevant art forms to the community. From Carnaval de San Anto, to the Josiah Media Festival, to the Holiday Laser Show, URBAN-15 has never stopped pursuing its desire to instill a lifelong involvement in the arts. UTSA, OFFICE OF SUSTAINABILITY The UTSA Office of Sustainability is taking a leadership role in addressing our region’s sustainability challenges is an important priority for UTSA.
