5. “repent” (metanoeo) A deep inward change of all you believe, perceive and desire. (noeo) the mind and its thoughts, perceptions, dispositions and purposes. (meta) movement or change.
Doesn’t mean sorry. My bad. I’ll do better. I’m worthless. God doesn’t love me.
We want Jesus to repair the results of our wrong beliefs, perspective and desires instead of repenting of them.

Jesus not repent over what they had done – but something much deeper
Jesus wanted them to live in a different kingdom.

So repentance isn’t just about don’t do bad things – its about changing how you think life works
