6th grade SS (previously taught ELA) 6th year at CMS! Married for four years and have three year old Sylvia! 3rd Quarter Europe Russia & Eurasian Republics 4th Quarter East Asia (China & Japan) South Asia (India, Pakistan, Nepal) 1st Quarter Geography Origins of Cultures & Civilizations Middle East & North Africa (Mesopotamia & Egypt) 2nd Quarter Middle East & North Africa (Egypt) Europe Students will understand G.R.A.P.E.S. (geography, religion, achievements, political structure, economics, and social structure) and how it applies to various world regions.

Mindful of the World Around Us
“Where Everyone Belongs” Mindful of the World Around Us 8th grade students befriend and mentor 6th grade students Activities geared toward building confidence, happiness, academic/AVID skills and a mindfulness of the world. All about making the 6th graders feel comfortable and proud to be at Centennial Middle School WEB Leaders will meet with 6th graders during Advisory at least once a month.

CMS Expectations 3Ps = PBIS (positive behavior interventions and supports)

CMS agenda 2. Check StudentVue and/or ParentVue 3. Require printed progress reports if necessary Praise effort not just the end result Help to manage and cope. Short term problems vs. Long term problems You know your student and….what motivates them.
