Appropriate Attire Time and Place!!! Remember this applies to spirit week attire! 1.Be safe, appropriate and not disrupt or interfere with the educational process (e.g., a hood may not be covering the head). 3.Not include items that are perceived to be vulgar, obscene, and/or offensive others because of race, color, religion, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation or disability. 4.Not promote and/or endorse the use of alcohol, tobacco or illegal drugs and/or encourage other illegal or violent activities.

8 Dignity for All Students Act (DASA)
Prohibits Harassment Discrimination Bullying Taunting Intimidation See p in your planner for more information. DASA 2.0: The updated legislation extends now to social media as well. You can and will be held accountable for such actions on social media sites if they present a disruption to the school’s operation. Unwanted aggressive behavior Can be Verbal, Physical, or Written Anything that hurts someone physically or emotionally and/or socially (reputation) Empathy

9 Be An Upstander, Not a Bystander
Everyone has the right to learn in a safe environment Report suspicious or concerning posts (aka instances of harassment and/or bullying) to a trusted adult Students, parents, a school staff member can fill out DASA incident report You choose the role you play: A student who bullies A student who is an outsider A student who reinforces A student who assists the bully DASA- Do your part

12 Academic Eligibility Talk to your coach or Ms. Sullivan in main office if you have questions. See p. 15 in your planner for more information. REEL Forms are located in the MAIN OFFICE.

13 Honor Pass See p in your planner for more information. Juniors earn privilege with 80% overall average, no failing grades and no referrals for behavior in the previous quarter. Will be revoked if student receives a referral or grades become a concern. Interruptions to instruction will not be tolerated.

14 Honor Pass Allows you to use West Café during unassigned blocks.
See p in your planner for more information. Allows you to use West Café during unassigned blocks. Allows you to move purposefully throughout the building without needing to ask for a pass in your planner. Not used as pre-signed pass during advisement (even to library).

Front title page must be attached with your signed name label Can not share planners Planner must be used for early dismissal New planners are available in the Ranger Cub House for $5; Must have Student ID No planner, no pass You are responsible for the code of conduct information in your planner

19 Parking Approved Juniors and Seniors

Approved Juniors and Seniors Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed/towed Approval contingent upon eligibility criteria Ways to lose parking… Have a failing grade Drive recklessly Park illegally Drive a unregistered vehicle Have a referral Allow another student to drive your car Transport other students off school property without permission

20 Spencerport Cares There is also an Intervention Specialist who can work with students and families if you or someone you know is struggling with Substance Abuse. See Mrs. Zobkiw in the Counseling Office! This will NOT result in any sort of discipline referral! See p. 5 in your planner or posters around the building.

21 Drugs/Alcohol We worry about your safety, and that of those around you

We worry about your safety, and that of those around you Being under the influence, possession, distribution of drugs, alcohol or prohibited substances will lead to Automatic Suspension and Superintendent Hearing (Likely Extended Suspension Period and Possible Police Involvement) This includes vapes/e-cigarettes!
