Supportive and Preventative Measures
At the beginning of the year, students created their own rules and behavior guidelines. Students will earn awards based on behavior or academic achievements. These awards can either be individual or whole class. We will model and students will practice specific routines and procedures. Curriculum will be engaging and worthwhile. Discipline Plan A point system will be used to maintain appropriate behavior. Raffle tickets, school wide purple tickets, and prizes will be given out to individuals demonstrating appropriate behavior. Parents will be notified about specific behavior problems. Please review weekly Progress Reports

What you can do to help… Students should have encouragement and support from parents. Parents will be expected to check homework on Mondays and before turning it in every Monday. Please check nightly math homework. We encourage parents to read with their child every night. Please sign the homework planner nightly. Weekly progress will be sent home. We encourage parents to be involved in school activities and the commitment to a positive classroom climate.

This will be a lifelong learning experience and will be enjoyable for everyone who attends. On October 31st, all 5th grade classes will be attending Biz Town. This is a simulation that teaches students about financial responsibility, business and community contributions. Students will apply and interview for job positions and will run a town with a variety of businesses for the day.
