3. Before starting… Subscription to GPRS is a prerequisite
Confirm that the handset supports IR reception and same is available on your laptop
In case of connecting through data cable, make sure the data cable is attached and the mobile is detected by the computer
Following settings apply on connectivity via IR link and data cable.

4. Using IR link Activate IR reception on your handset
Ensure the line of sight of the IR link between laptop and handset
Laptop will automatically detect your handset, appearing on the task bar
Ensure that the IR link remains established between your laptop and handset.

5. Laptop settings Click on to my computer and then control panel

In the modem tab select standard modem over IR link

Click on to dialing rules tab in the phone and modem option
Press edit button

9. Edit location In the edit location window, click on to the general tab

Confirm the correct initialization string, in order to avoid any errors while connecting
