(bring sunscreen & water) 21- First Grade Awards 24- Early Release, Final Report Cards go home, Last Day of School yytyt A Note From Your Captains *End of the year sight word check on Friday. Study sheet that is sent home. *End of the year report card will not be released until all library books/fines are collected. *Mrs. Chesshire’s class is running low on snacks. Rise Up Assembly every Friday at 7:30am Family Reading Night every Wednesday 4-6pm in the library. Anchored in Learning Students will conduct an author study on a second author: Robert Munsch. They will listen to read alouds by this author and complete a story map. We will also research interesting facts about this author and compare to last week’s author (Jan Brett). We will also review sight words through a fun Escape the Room day. We will also review sight words playing “Knockout” No more comprehension test for the rest of the year. Phonics: review: contractions, compound words, and ghost buddies (wr, kn, gn) Students will continue to work on their beginning, middle, end compositions. v Reading & Phonics Writing Math Science & Social Studies Students will review the concepts of adding three digit numbers and telling time on a clock to the hour an half hour. Students will study the life cycle of a frog. Students will review what it means to be a good citizen. Students will work on a Mother’s Day craft. Sight Words: review! Spelling List No spelling words for the rest of the year. We will have a sight word assessment of all words learned this year. Practice these at home. Thank you for helping your child with their spelling this year! .
