Essential Questions: What are the parts of plot of my story? What is the theme of my story? Standard: ELACC6RL3 – Describe how a particular story’s or drama’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution. ELACC6RL1 – Determine a theme and/or central idea of a text and how it is conveyed through particular details; provide a summary of the text distinct from personal opinions or judgments.

Reading - Everyone Language Arts – E.L.T. 10/18/19
Read a book of your choice. When you finish the book, complete your book recommendation form (located on the front table). Glue these sheets to pages in your reading section. You must read at least 3 books this nine weeks and complete the corresponding book recommendation. You will have time in class to read, but you could also read on your own, too. You may certainly read more to earn more points!

Choose a green journal. Glue it in to the first writing page. Write at least one paragraph as a response. For every three paragraphs you write, show me for a grade. You must write at least nine paragraphs in this nine weeks. Guided Reading - “The Lion and the Mouse” Glue the three pages to p Read and respond to the work using complete sentences. You must show me your work after two turns of guided reading. Buddy Reading – You may read the same book as a friend or You may read to one another. Your noise level should be a 1. Word Work – Glue the lyrics for “Homophones, Homonyms & Homographs” to pages Then, read the lyrics. Highlight the important parts. Next, cut out and glue the vocab. Go to our class blog to check out ebooks and audio books. Each person must finish reading at least three books in nine weeks. Complete the Book Recommendation for each book you finish.
