Working together: Homework Each week there will be:
Reading – children should read at least three times each week (partnership books to be signed in the usual way) + Teddy Reading Challenge! Weekly English/spelling homework Weekly maths homework (Online: Doodle Maths and Times Tables Rock Stars OR written homework) Number bonds and times tables practice (ongoing) Homework is set on a Thursday, to be returned the following Tuesday every week, in line with our homework policy. We explain the tasks to the children and notify parents when it is set using the Class DOJO website. Helen

Open door policy – meet in the playground Games and PE kit from day 1 please Outdoor PE: Tuesday Indoor PE: Wednesday Dinner choices are managed in the same way in the juniors (school dinners or packed lunches) No need for pencil cases. MC

School Attendance: FACT: Children with good attendance have a better chance of achieving well at school. School target: 96% + for each child. Mike C

Pupil Progress Meetings:
Take place every term Class Teacher, Head and Inclusion Leader meet Identify any child not progressing as expected Ensure provision is put in place to accelerate progress Reviews of any intervention put in place Mike C Teachers track children’s progress very carefully Every term pupil progress meeting take place

The Key Role of the Assistant Headteacher/Inclusion Leader:
To oversee the identification, provision and tracking of any child not progressing as expected academically or not thriving socially and emotionally. To manage the provision, progress and well being of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) Please make an appointment with Mrs Lees if you have any concerns about your child’s progress or well being. Mike C We are an inclusive school and aim for all children to make good progress regardless of ability All children can need help at some point
