. Literacy Fronted prepositional phrases are used to begin sentences, Variety of subordinate conjunctions are being used and applied to other curriculum with independence. Metaphors are incorporated into description. The format of the writing meets the purpose or context, eg brevity in a diary entry, elaboration in a non-chronological report. Paragraphs show a change in action/setting or theme; factual information in non-fiction is linked cohesively. Composing and rehearsing sentences orally (including dialogue), progressively building a varied and rich vocabulary and an increasing range of sentence structures. Know the difference between a plural ‘s’ and a possessive ‘s’. Work is always proof read for spellings, punctuation and to ensure it makes sense. Fractions Compare and order fractions. Add/subtract fractions with different denominators. History Find out who Queen Victoria was and investigate her life and family tree. Explore the impact that the Industrial Revolution had on the people of Britain. Discover what was invented during the Victorian era. Investigate what public health and medical care were like during the Victorian era. Examine and compare different leisure activities of rich and poor Victorian people. Science- Evolution and Inheritance Recognise that living things have changed over time and that fossils provide information about living things that inhabited the Earth millions of years ago.
