FILTERING WATER When you find yourself in a survival situation with
no clean water at hand, it's important to know how to filter water. We’ve tried to use two simple techniques suggested by our friends from Tiraspol SMART Language Centre: The use of coffee filters Making a “filter bed”.

Coffee Filteres - A Quick Filter In An Emergency.
Tips: Strain water through a bandana, shirt, or coffee filters to remove visible debris. Let the water sit for at least a few minutes, so the remaining particles settle on the bottom, then pour into another container. If at all possible, boil this water to kill pathogens before drinking.

Making A “Filter Bed” Tips:
Cut the bottom off a large plastic bottle. Turn the bottle upside down and place a layer of compacted sand, then a layer of gravel and then a layer of pebbles into the bottle. Place the upturned bottle over another a cup or other container. Pour muddy water into the top of the upturned bottle.

FILTERING WATER Conclusion:
Coffee filter makes muddy water clean rather quickly and perfectly. “Filter Bed” works well and filters muddy water although you have to spend more time. The water has come out clearer and less dirty. In the event of an emergency, we should remember these techniques.
