5 Continued 8/29 (Thursday)
With Partner Discuss 5 Big Issues facing the world/U.S. that are science based Get into assigned groups and record the issue (5 minutes) Research the issue (Why?) (Causes?) (5 minutes) Reporters – 5-10 minutes report

6 8/30/2019 (Friday) Bell ringer #2 What does biology mean?

7 September 3, (Tuesday) Bell Ringer 3 1) Summarize (complete sentences) the issue your group researched and what are one or two possible causes OR impacts?

8 Goals and Objectives OBJECTIVE: Understand the causes, impacts and possible solutions for the science issue being researched To Do: Finish Poster – include causes if you have not already. Be ready to answer questions and present about the topic (each group member can be asked questions) Begin Research on Theory, Scientific Law, Hypothesis, Belief, and Scientific Fact – Define each and include 3 examples of each.

9 9/4/19 WEDNESDAY BELL RINGER # 4
1) What is one science term you will research today?

10 Objective and to dos Objective: To review the Nature of Science and the Experimental Design. Research and define the difference between theory, law and hypothesis and provide one example Practice of examples of each – paper copies – (Notes and check) Experimental Design readings – summarize and share findings w/ class Cornell Notes – Reading of Experimental Design. Notebook – (checked by Mrs. T or Mr. T) Review sheet and practice (on the board) – list
