LEF - Labor Enforcement Fund
The LEF Contractor Registrations System collects registrations for public contractors before they can bid on public works projects. The system collects $400 using a third party merchant (CyberSource), keeps a record of all registrations available internally for editing, correcting, managing, etc. as well as a publically searchable version of the data. System was launched May 2013, Currently 171 active registrations. Receives between 5 and 10 new registrations weekly. Because each registration is for a two-year period, 2,043 registrations will expire between May 2013 and May 2015 and the LEF system will send out renewal notices. The peak period for these expirations begins March 2014. NMDWS users can search every data field in LEF, while external users are restricted to a smaller set of search criteria. The system creates the certificates and mailing labels according to the LEF team’s specifications, and sends out renewal notices 30 days prior to registration expiration. The system is written in ASP.NET/C# for the front end, while the backend is built using C# to create WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) web services. The front end communicates with the web services to talk to the database, which is hosted in Microsoft SQL Server. Every query is a fully parameterized stored procedure, the system contains no inline-SQL. A separate web service was created that handles the communication to CyberSource for the weekly import of successful transaction information for new registrations

Wage Request Application Labor Relations
Business Purpose: Application provides means for wage verification and use of enforcement of wage laws and standards Application has 4 parts: an outward-facing web site for contractors, an inward-facing web site for NMDWS / Labor Relations employees, a service layer, and a database. The application is one of two still running on the old (pre go-live) MyUI with the older architecture and older security model. Objective to update to a new application using the newer architectural model and newer security model. Service layer and the public layer are complete. Next steps: Code Employees’ layer, provide additional features, test and User Acceptance Test, release review, implementation Target completion: November
