2. How does it work? How does the software license key work? In short:
CBRN-Analysis must be activated using a code (it can be done with or without Internet access)
Single software licenses will be node locked to a specific PC/Laptop
National licenses will NOT be node locked
There are two factors that determines the precise activation process:
Does the CBRN-Analysis computer have Internet access?
Do you have a National or a Single User License for CBRN-Analysis?

3. How to activate the program
From the Windows Start Menu search for the CBRNE-Frontline or the CBRN- Analysis folder. Here you will find the LicenseWizard icon.

This is how the Software License Wizard will look at start-up on the CBRN-Analysis computer, when used for the first time.

If the CBRN-Analysis computer does not have access to the Internet, it must be activated from another computer.
To start activation:
Note, the “Computer Identifier”, as this is needed on an online computer to activate the software.

On a computer with Internet access, open the NewTech Software License webpage:

Enter the following to generate a Computer Key:
Activation Key (received from Bruhn NewTech)
Product e.g. CBRN-Analysis
Computer ID (copy from CBRN-Analysis computer)
Press the activate button to generate a Computer Key

Copy key to CBRN-Analysis computer

11. Software License Wizard, Offline
Continue activation on the offline CBRN-Analysis computer:
Enter Activation Key (received from Bruhn NewTech)
Enter Computer Key (generated on an online computer)
Press the activate button

12. National License
Activation procedure for all users under the national license
Distribute the generated License files together with CBRN-Analysis to all users
Activation is only required one time for national licenses!

13. Single User License Activation procedure – to be done by each user
Install CBRN-Analysis, as normally
Run the software license wizard, either as

14. Change existing license
After having activated a license key, many questions may arise, like:
How do I deactivate a license?
How do I re-activate license, when CBRN-Analysis is upgraded?
How do I move a node locked license to another computer?
How do I activate a new module in CBRN-Analysis? …
The two main procedures are “Activate” and “Deactivate”

Activation key is prefilled by the software
Press the deactivate button – What happens depends on whether the CBRN-Analysis computer is online or offline.

Enter the following to deactivate CBRN-Analysis installed on a computer without Internet access:
Activation Key (received from Bruhn NewTech)
Computer ID (from CBRN-Analysis computer, only required for single user licenses)
Verification Code (from CBRN-Analysis computer)
Press Deactivate

21. Support – National Software License Key
For National Licenses - when CBRN-Analysis has been activated on ONE computer, two license files are generated.
Make a backup of the two license files.
Distribute the two files together with CBRN-Analysis to all users. This will enable all users to install and use CBRN-Analysis.
Therefore no support from Bruhn NewTech should be required to manage Software License Keys for National Licenses.
But as always, Bruhn NewTech support is available during normal office hours.

22. Support – Single User Software License Key
For Single User Licenses CBRN-Analysis must be activated on EACH computer running CBRN-Analysis.
Use the Activate procedure after installation of CBRN-Analysis
Use the Deactivate and Activate procedures to move CBRN-Analysis to another computer
If the Software License Key cannot be activated or deactivated e.g. due to computer failure, Bruhn NewTech can be contacted during normal office hours to have the key activated/deactivated immediately.
