MoPSAR Background –Several EU projects on high frequency radio access (Telenor) –Several study/evaluation projects on LMDS at Nera –Svolvær pilot – joint project between Nera and Telenor –BROADWAN: Telenor + Nera + 23 others in Europe Torbjørn and Pål joined forces: –discussed the possibility of an NFR funded project at UniK, –wrote application (huge effort from Torbjørn) –received good evaluation -> got funding Dec. 2004 –hired 2 PhD students (Aug 2005) and 2 post.docs (March 2006) Modelling and Prediction of mm Wavelength Channels, Scheduling and Adaptive Data Rate for LMDS
