Einar Lie Oral history project Planned interviews of up to 20 persons –senior staff and advisors from the 1960s and 1970s –Persons involved in economic analysis and monetary policy Objective: Document the history of –policy decisions and processes, the role of Norges Bank –viewpoints and theoretical basis –National and international network Phase 1: collection of biographical data and bibliographical material Phase 2: conducting and recording of interviews

Einar Lie Archives, Governance and Literature A proposed subproject, running from the spring 2009 Give an overview of –the archival situation (bottom up) –changing governance structure (top down) –relevant literature available Aims –provide an overview of available resources for the history projects –basis for the identification of topics and research questions for main projects –provide the international academic experts involved in the project with a manageable overview of central topics and phases in Norges Bank’s history
