How does God want us to thank Jesus for redeeming (ransoming) us from sin, death, and the devil?

Why did Jesus redeem us? 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. and belong to him

Key Point #1 Jesus redeemed us so that we would belong to him and thank him by using our lives to serve him.

Jack says, I thought we learned earlier in the Second Article that Jesus ransomed us so that we would be free. Now were being told that we belong to Jesus and have to serve him. I dont see how these two things fit together at all. How do you answer Jack?

Youre baby-sitting (mowing the lawn, delivering groceries) for a person in your neighborhood. Someone notices that youre wearing a t-shirt with the name of your church on it. That person starts to make fun of you, asking whether youre one of those holy- holy Christians. How can you serve Jesus in righteousness when something like that happens?

Two of your Christian friends are planning to go someplace that their parents have clearly and expressly warned them not to go (R-rated movie). They ask you to go along with them. How can you serve Jesus in innocence when something like that happens?

When only will we be able to serve Jesus in perfect and everlasting righteousness, innocence and blessedness? Revelation 7:14-15 I answered, Sir, you know.
