Multitech is started with US$25,000 in capital and 11 employees. 1976 Acer Inc. launches its IPO. 1988 2007 1998 Acer is selected as the official IT sponsor of the 13th Asian Games in Bangkok, introducing the world’s first PC-based management system for a major international sporting event. 2008 Acer completes the acquisition of Packard Bell, Inc. and E-ten InfoSystems Co. Ltd. Acer ranks No. 3 for total PCs and No. 2 for notebooks worldwide. 2010 Acer launches clear.fi - a new experience that allows real-time sharing and playing of multi-format content over multi-platform devices. Acer launches its green Timeline notebook series - free from PVC and BFR materials. Integrated Founder Tech’s PC sales team and channels in the China market. 1987 The Acer name is adopted. 2006 Acer becomes Sponsor of Scuderia Ferrari.

POINT PARTNER Resellers that have at least one shop The Point partner can belong to any partnership level (Platinum, Gold, Silver). Provided with POS materials according to the partnership level. EDUCATION CENTER The Acer Education Center is a channel certification created in order to build a network of dealers capable of satisfying the education market. Acer Education Centers act as a link between the dealer and the world of schools by helping them meet their technological needs. Certified partners offer proven expertise throughout Europe and deliver in-depth knowledge.

It is a multi-national team providing presales and post-sales support to Acer Platinum and Gold Partners The activities of the SCC (Solution Competence Centre) Lab include: Hardware test & Verification Solution building Software Verification and helps to create Technical Documentation including Technical Bulletins, FAQ Documents, White papers, Solution Guides, “How To Guides”, and training material. The live outputs from the SCC Lab include: Create Demo Area for Partners/End Users (applications and solutions) Training environments (e.g. “Train the trainer” Program) Dealer Partners can touch and test Acer equipment on-site Remote testing for Partners
