8
Listing Cont… Step 3: Enter your product name to search for a category and Click Search ( This will determine what category your item goes under so eBay knows what fee to charge you) 12/24/2013
9
Listing Cont… Step 4: Select the category your product falls under NOTE: Use the right category so customers can see your products if they search for say Cell phone accessories 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
10
Listing Cont… Step 5: Type in the TITLE you want your product to be viewed by customers as. NOTE: There is a maximum length your title can be TIP: Try to maximize your title so if customers search vaguely they will still see your item Note: If item specifics show up select the correct specifics. If not dont worry about it! 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
11
Listing Cont. Step 6: Scroll Down to Picture Listings A) Click on Add Pictures Step 7: Browse your computer for a desired picture or click Self-Hosting and type in the link of your picture WAIT TILL STEP 8! 12/24/2013CopyRight 2010 Jonathan R. Wong
12
Listing Cont. Step 8: Now that your picture is uploaded. Here is my suggestion to you. This is optional Note: I ALWAYS use the SERVICE called Gallery Plus which is highlighted in yellow to the left. When people search your item and you have this SERVICE they can see your title ALONG with a picture to the left. Tip: NEVER use the SERVICE called Picture Pack. It is for idoits and quite expensive 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
13
Listing Cont… Step 9: Alright now we have our picture uploaded You should see your picture now. Remember just upload ONE picture. I will show you how to add more later for FREE We will now move onto describing your item 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
14
Listing… Step 10: Now you can start describing your item under theStandard Tab as if it were a text box. We will talk about the HTML tab in the next step (This is where you can get creative) 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
15
Listing Cont… Step 11: Now we can get into the creative side of our listing. Click the HTML Tab next to the Standard Tab This is an HTML editor and it can read ANY HTML code Note: This is where you want to add AS MANY pictures as you like for FREE Type in the code: www.ENTERYOURLINKHERE.com/pic.jpg 12/24/2013
16
Listing Cont… Step 12: Now to view your HTML coding just click on the Standard Tab again Note: This should display any coding you have typed or the code for the FREE images from Step 11 Note: You can click on Preview to see what your listing will ACTUALLY look like 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
17
Listing Cont… Step 13: Moving onto Online Auction and Fixed Price Note: Online Auction you can ONLY have ONE quantity amount Online Auction: You can have a starting price AND a Buy it now price. Fees are applied if you use an Auction AND have a Buy it Now Price. Note: You can also select the duration of your Listing. (I think 10 Days has an additional fee) 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
18
Listing Cont. Step 14: Moving onto Fixed Price Tab Now we can have multiple quantities here (No limit) What are the fees here? Insertion/Listing Fee: You only pay this ONCE regardless of how many items you have Final Value Fee: This is the fee you pay PER item sold 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
19
Listing Cont. Step 15: Now lets look into how we will be paid My suggestion to you is to use Paypal as a payment acceptor. All if not most of eBay users USE paypal. Yes Paypal is owned by eBay… and yes they charge fees unfortunately If you dont have an account create one! Its free Paypal Fees: It is free to send money Fee to accept money is 2.9%+$0.30 Paypal: Enter your paypal email address in the box and that is where your payments will be sent to. You can either have that money sent directly to your Bank Account (Free) or receive a check (Fee) NOTE: MARK REQUIRE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT 12/24/2013
20
Listing Cont… Step 16: Now we get to how the item will be shipped. Select the service you will ship your product. I almost always stick with 1)USPS First Class Mail (13 OZ Limit) 2)USPS Priority Mail (70Lb Limit) Tip/Trick: Try to avoid Free Shipping. Think of the overall price you want to sell your item for. Find out how much it costs to ship it. Subtract that from your overall price, and make that your SELL price and whatever your shipping cost is, put it down in the box above under Cost (This will be explained later) 12/24/2013
21
Listing Cont. Step 17: We are almost done listing our product now! This is the section where we can leave additional checkout instructions. I always put Pay through Paypal Only and possibly put Payment is required Immediately. Note: Why these? To Avoid scams from personal checks, cashier checks, and money orders, I ONLY accept paypal payments. MUCH MORE SECURE You also want your customers to pay immediately because if they dont and your item is sold you have to pay a Final Value fee even if they decide not to pay you (Unless you file a claim). Also: if customer doesnt pay immediately your listing will go back for sale without any fees 12/24/2013
22
Listing Cont. Step 18: After clicking Continue from the previous Image. You are redirected to this page. This preview here is EXACTLY what your listing will look like to customers. Note: You see that image to the left? That is what you paid $1.00/ $0.35 (if there a discount) for. In my opinion, it is worth it. If you didnt pay for it, there would be no IMAGE shown. In this example: I have chose a Buy It Now option with a Price of $18.00 and $4.00 Shipping. Customer will pay $22.00 for my product. 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
23
Listing Cont… Step 19: Reviewing your Fees and Previewing your Listing Insertion Fee: $0.50 This is to list your item Gallery Plus: $0.35 This is the image display Final Value Fee: $2.16 This is the fee PER unit sold Total Fees: $0.85 to List Fee Per Unit: $2.16 Step 20: Click List your Item and YOURE DONE! 12/24/2013Copyright 2010 Young And Secure
