2. Who are we? Since 1989 we are the biggest umbrella organization for the advocacy of the folk high schools More than a hundred member organizations all around Hungary Our office is also the Central European Link Office of the EAEA

3. What are we doing as an umbrella organization? Advocacy and development of practice through projects, trainings and publications Information services like newsletters, Folk High School magazine in every season Professional guidance for university students in the filed of adult education and community development, cultural and NGO management

4. What are we doing as the Budapest Folk High School Institute? Project development in national and international level, for example: Coordinating the Hungarian Adult Learners Week Promoting social cooperatives in Hungary Community development and key competencies trainings in rural areas Networking, policy development, training and expert services Different Grundtvig projects (NILE, Alpha16+, IntALWine)‏

5. What are we doing like the EAEA Link Office? promote the introduction of EAEA and member organisations´ activities in the region; promote information as desired and defined by the Central-Eastern European member organisations; develop professional bi- and multilateral co-operation between Central and Eastern European, EU and non-EU countries raise the number of EAEA member organisations in Central-Eastern Europe; contribute to the better introduction of lifelong learning activities performed in Central-Eastern Europe among EAEA and EU member-states.

National level Guidance in written materials (dissertation work, essays,surveys in the LLL field)‏ Offering traineeships in our office (from 30 hours to 3 month)‏ Offering possibilities to participate in professional meetings, conferences, workshops Summer traineeships in the learning center LLL and EU library
