The LUCKY concept L – LEARN your documentation -Make sure you know: -Who is going to be using the customization -What is being installed -When it is scheduled to be installed -Where it is going -Why it is required

The LUCKY concept U – UNDERSTAND your environment -Make sure you know: -Where your application and database servers are located -How to access these servers -What the process requirements are for both the Fleet and IT departments -Keep a list of machine IDs and location of all FASTER client workstations, along with their usual user IDs -Keep a list of network login names for troubleshooting

The LUCKY concept C – COMMUNICATE COMMUNICATE COMMUNICATE!!! -Schedule regular conversations with FASTER personnel responsible for designing and installing the customization -Ensure Fleet and IT personnel are periodically involved in these conversations and updated on development progress

The LUCKY concept K – KNOW your points of contact -Make sure IT and other relevant departments understand the basics of what FASTER is, and why its important -Make sure you have sufficient permissions to perform any installations or application/registry edits on all machines -If access is tightly controlled, cultivate relationships with IT personnel who can assist you with access when required
