Archiving
5
GEMINI Portal Automatic setup, little effort required on user’s part. Simply run the instrumentize script.
6
Basic Flow When slice is instrumentized, basic configuration data is sent to the Portal (manifest, mc address, user crypts). Data saved in database. Portal DB Instrumetize Scripts
7
User Login User accesses Portal through web browser. Login is via hash of passphrase. Can be done automatically if user data is known ie we can access user credentials.
8
Portal Interface Portal creates web page with map view and supporting data that is loaded onto the users browser. Most of the action now takes place on the browser.
9
Measurement Access Browser may contact MCs for a variety of data: graphs, INSTOOLS, perfsonar. Any online resource that can be parsed from the slice’s manifest.

Proposed Integrations Credential management is cumbersome. Investigating integration with ABAC for a more unified credentialing system.

Proposed Integrations Configuration data is limited to manifest created at slice’s instrumentation. Looking into integration with UNIS for a more unified, complete, and up to date data.
