Federal Employee Health Benefit Coverage can continue for up to 24 months in nonpay status (SF50’s, Approved Contingency) DoD pays full premium Options –Continue coverage –Terminate – Reinstates automatically upon Return to Duty –Delay reinstatement (if applicable) HRO Form 92-1 – Required upon Return To Duty Delay reinstatement for duration of TAMP (180 days)

Federal Employee’s Group Life Insurance Continue up to 12 months at no cost Must elect to Continue or Terminate coverage after 12 months Elect to Continue –Pay employee and agency share of the premiums –Must make payment arrangements before leaving for active duty –Reinstated automatically upon Return to Duty Elect to Terminate –Right to convert to a non-group policy –Reinstated automatically upon Return to Duty
