State and Local Implementation Grant Program to the Project Certification Committee Jacque Miller Mike Neitzey October 23, 2014
2
Status Summary SLIGP grant was submitted to NTIA in August 2013 in response to a FirstNet Round One Funding Notice. The grant money allows the State to conduct planning, education, and outreach activities related to being a part of the new network. The grant will cover a performance period of three years, and the State will be required to complete a number of steps related to planning for participation in the nationwide LTE network. Using funds from the Grant, the State will put a structure in place for FirstNet to communicate through a single point of contact and will then compile information that will allow the State to work effectively with the FirstNet Board.
