TRAFFIC SAFETY BUREAU – PROGRAMS DIVISION IIDA Project Overview The IIDA project at NMDOT created a statewide Ignition Interlock system that will allow automated data submissions from manufacturers, allow stakeholders and customers the ability to monitor Ignition Interlock offender compliance with court ordered and administrative ordered installation of an ignition interlock device in their vehicle, and allow statistical analysis on the data. The system was implemented with procedures, staffing and resources that ensure stable continuous operation. Standards were implemented to allow for consistent data monitoring and reporting practices. Deploying the web application allows for monitoring of high Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) and other violations occurring in the utilization of the installed device.

Data Validation: Development of automated Data validation processes Automated Reporting Automated Data Capture -system processes 13 million interlock event records each month. Management Reports Allow Interlock Program Manager to monitor Manufacturer Compliance with Administrative Rule Allow Interlock Program Manager to research issues with individual interlock clients. Client Query Allow compliance staff to review interlock client behavior, including: o Every service o Every pass/fail/tamper/lock-out Pilot Agency = MVD
