2 Regulations (10 CFR Parts 75 and 110) – December 23, 2008 Includes all NRC and Agreement State licensed facilities Reporting requirements and IAEA access Revisions to other Parts of 10 CFR, as necessary for consistency (Parts 30, 40, 50, 60, 61, 63, 70, 72, 95, and 150) Information Collection – Completed March 18, 2009 Assessment / Vetting – Completed March 27, 2009 Formal Certification to the Dept. of Commerce – April 9, 2009 Submittal to IAEA scheduled for July 2, 2009 NRC’s U.S. Additional Protocol Status

3 Information Collection Process NRC and Department of Commerce (DOC) use a joint information collection process All NRC and Agreement State licensees use paper-based reporting system All NRC and Agreement State licensee AP reporting forms are sent to the DOC Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) DOC/BIS forwards licensee submitted forms to the NRC NRC reviews/enters data, provides data to DOC/BIS via CD Future plans to develop and implement a computerized reporting system utilizing web-based forms

4 Information Collection Timelines Annual reports Submitted to DOC by January 31st of each year Starting in 2010 Export reports Submitted to DOC 15 days after the end of each quarter April 15 th ; July 15 th, October 15 th and January 15 th
