2. 2 Good Works…  Are not the source (means) of our salvation – Eph. 2:8-9  Are the result of being saved in Christ – Eph. 2:10  May do “good” & be lost, Matt. 7:22 (Acts 10:2; 11:14)  But, everyone faithful to Christ will walk in “good works,” Eph. 2:10  We sin by failing to do good, Jas. 4:17

3. 3 Created in Christ to Walk in Good Works (Eph. 2:10)  God defines “good works” – Heb. 13:21  Prepared by Him, Eph. 2:10  Scripture equips us, 2 Tim. 3:16-17  What are good works? (Jno. 6:27-29)

6. 6 To Walk in Good Works We Must Be…  Pattern of Good Works, Titus 2:7  “A figure formed by a blow or impression” (Phil. 3:17; 1 Tim. 4:12)  Zealous for Good Works, Titus 2:14  Burning, “most eagerly desirous of”  Stir up each other (Heb. 10:24)  A joy, not a burden (1 Jno. 5:3; 2:5)

7. 7 To Walk in Good Works We Must Be…  Ready for Every Good Work, Titus 3:1  Prepared, using opportunities (Gal. 6:9-10; Eph. 5:16)  Watchfulness & faithfulness (Matt. 24:42-46; 1 Tim. 6:17-19)  Shows wisdom (Col. 4:5-6)

8. 8 To Walk in Good Works We Must Be…  Careful to Maintain Good Works, Titus 3:8 (Acts 9:36, 39)  Careful: To think, thoughtful to give attention  Maintain: To set or place before; a protector or guardian  Attention to God’s word (2 Tim. 2:15)  Look for opportunities (Matt. 10:42)

9. 9 To Walk in Good Works We Must…  Learn to Maintain Good Works, Titus 3:14  Increase by use & practice; to be in the habit of, Heb. 5:8  Establish a habit of good works, 1 Jno. 3:7, 10  Fruitful in Lord’s service, Eph. 5:8-10
